Photo of the Day

(for a print of this photo, email me for information)

After four long days awaiting a redo of our shower, we arrived in Old Town last evening at dark. I hate having to set up in the dark so the most that got done was water, sewer, electric, and cable. It was good to get back here to Yellow Jacket and begin anew our daily routine of walking, biking, and lifting a few weights. This evening we attended our final “rivertales” Friday. We had planned on staying a bit longer but found out last night our first grandchild will be born on the 14th. A breach placement is going to culminate in a Cesarian section, something to the chagrin of daughter-in-law, Carolyn. She so wanted to have natural childbirth but whatever proves safest for the baby. I refer to this child without name as we are all steeped in mystery as to its gender. And that’s the way mom and dad want it. I respect their decision. In fact, I think it kind of cool. Much like “back in the day” when both our children were born without our knowledge of their gender. I ended the evening by taking the boat out for a short trip when I spotted this egret preparing to nest for the evening.

In this day of “knowing” I too am impressed that they did not want to know the gender of their child! That’s impressive…….soon, you will have many pictures to take, and when you’re “home”, I would love to have you take some of our clan! Safe Travels Gypsy Larry!
