Hail, AZ

Posted by on March 26, 2010
The Arizona weather has been sublime to date. Mostly in the high 70s and low 80s. The locals speak of the excessive precip this winter and I’m amazed as we’ve only seen a few days of rain in our six week stay here. Just as soon as voiced wonderment regarding how fortunate they are, the skies opened. In moments the rain turned to hail and normal conversation in the motorhome was drowned by the staccato drumming the rooftop. In the next five minutes, everything was covered in white and it almost looked like a snow storm but this was all pellets of hail that looked like the Morton Salt Co. had dumped its trucks. Fifteen minutes later everything was gone and the only evidence of the deluge was the dampness left behind.

And, you thought you’d escaped winter, at least you just had a few minutes of it,………it feels like winter here today with a windchill of below 32 degrees brrrr….
Glad you’ve had beautiful weather and hope you bring it with you when you return! Happy Trails ~
