Today we left the Tampa East RV Park located 1/4 mile off Interstate 4 just east of Tampa. I would recommend this park to anyone traveling central Florida or the west coast. We spent a little over a month here, partially because we got a great December rate of $289 for the entire month which included electricity. Its a large park divided into three sections, which allows for a lot of places to walk, and enabling one to visit all the sites and make a lot of new friends. All the interior roads are paved. There are three heated pools, one jacuzzi, a workout room and two social halls. Activities are scheduled weekly if you’re into that sort of thing. The staff is accommodating but not meddlesome at all. The proximity to various places to visit and be entertained are too numerous to mention. The grounds are well manicured, sites are flat and it was an overall good experience. However, there is no cable TV, campfires are not permitted and its right next to a MacDonalds and you know I can’t keep away from double cheese burgers. I would come back here and would recommend it to anyone else. I give it an overall 8. If you ever do stop there, tell me GypsyLarry sent you. That should get you a big smile if nothing else. We’re overnighting in Tallahassee tonight prior to setting out tomorrow for the Gulf of Mexico and Panama City. Be back with new photos shortly.
