Little Missouri Floods

Today we received an email that have altered our travel plans by a month.  For the past two and a half months we were just vagabonding with our only goal being to pursue the sun, seek its warmth, and visit the children on our way back North.  The goal for returning to our hometown was to run the medical gamut.  I was due for my four month brain MRI, a CT Scan to make sure no more cancer exists, a mammogram for Robin, some routine blood work, topped off with some dental cleaning with Tina, our favorite hygienist. That was all in preparation for a position that we have decided to take at Teddy Roosevelt National Park in Medora, ND.  Yes, you’ve read it right.  The genetic inclinations must have their dominance in the most out of the way, off the beaten path, road less taken ventures of the American West.  We have decided to work this season at the Bully Pulpit Golf Course.  More about that later. Now about that email.  It informed us that our expected arrival of April 5th, has now been postponed to the first of May.  You see, the Little Missouri has overflowed it banks due to the melting of the excessive winter blasts this year. The ice chunks have found their course to the fairways and greens of the Bully Pulpit.  Work won’t begin before that time.  We now have five weeks in which to travel the breadbasket of the plains toward our voyage’s end in Medora. I need some suggestions of places not to miss while enroute!!

Sorry your trip has been delayed, but, you don’t want to risk problems with flooding. I’m sure you’ll have many adventures between here and there. Sorry I missed you today, hop to see you later in the week.

How about making your way west across the good ole USA til you get to California and then when it’s time, turn around and head back to North Dakota. Are there any parts of Nevada, New Mexico, California, Arizona and some other warmer states you haven’t seen yet? Enjoy and I can’t wait to hear all about it!
